My friend has one and he said it had pot in it (its only like 10 % in the fabric) and he started sucking on it in class... well anyway... do they really have pot in them? oh, and the drug rug is a jacket well, more like a hoodie |

No... it's hemp, hemp is not a dug... you can't get high from it... essentially the fabric is made from the fibers of the hemp plant... marijuana is the bud (flower) of the plant...that is what people smoke... |

I doubt it's made of hemp but... Hemp is from the Cannabis plant, yes. However the THC in virtually nonexistent, and you certainly can't get any sort of intoxicated from it. He's just being ridiculous; point and laugh. |

Yes, because there are totally people out there making jackets with pot in them, and its completely legal... seriously think about this. Hemp is a plant. it can be made into thread which can be made into fabric. it is the same plant as marijuana just an entirely different part of it with absolutly negligible amounts of thc in it. your friend could smoke his entire jacket and probably wouldnt even get the slightest hint of a buzz |

There are various forms of hemp. One has a high level of THC in it, and you can get stoned from it. Others have such a low amount that it would be impossible to have any effects whatsoever. However, as a material, it is fabulous. It is strong, durable, and lasts a long time. Ropes were once made of it, and hemp cloth lasts an incredibly long time. A hemp rug should last many, many years. Unfortunately, due to the association with pot, hemp is not in big production commercially. This is changing, but most confuse the two different forms of the plant. |
