How does a drug deal go south?

Question: How does a drug deal go south?

I'm talking about when you go to get your drugs like normal from your local drug dealer and you end up getting shot, stabbed, or killed. I heard about this on the news a few times. When ever I get my pot, coke, or extacy, I just make the call, give them the money, get the drugs, then leave. What goes wrong that causes the drug dealer to pull out a knife or gun?

Several things can happen. maybe the dealer decided that you need more money. maybe the dealer is giving you a lesser amount. maybe the dealer decides he wants your money and to keep his drugs too. or it could go the other way. maybe you decide you want more drugs for the same amount of money. maybe you want to keep your money and still get the drugs. things like that can and do happen. that what the knives and guns are for.

This usually happens when people are dealing in such large quantaties as to make it worth it to kill over, or if you don't know your dealer at all.
