I am looking to help my violent 20yr old brother. Need answers soon.

My 16-year-old friend was sent to intensive outpatient drug rehab & also foster care for 3 months & wont call?
He says his foster mom is very anal and wont let him hang out or call me since im in my late 20's.Plus, he started dating a 23 year old 'recovering' crystal meth addict he found from his group therapy. His foster mom allows that relationship but not ours. I've always been clean and sober.Anyway, my friend is bi polar, ADD, anxiety, h.s. dropout, parents never married and split, and he now works at micky dees full time.I went to see him at his work and he basically acknowldged my presence for 5 seconds, but he wouldnt come out to talk to me. He went in the back hiding.My question is do you think he will contact me when he " gets out of foster care" next month or is he blowing me off because he has a new bf or some other reason? He was only addicted to weed by the way.

I saw a sign on the lawn of a drug rehab center that said keep off the grass. do subliminal messages work?


Are there places where they give group tours of the facilities dealing with drug rehab in Dallas, Tx?
I am in a group dealing with psychology and we want to take some tours of places such as drug rehab facility or another facility of that sort and possibly get to talk with the patients. .ie sex rehab, eating disorders, mental illness, etc. Any help would be great.

Doesn't forcing someone into drug rehab just creat an opportunity for them to make new drug connections?
My friend was threatened with the option of going into drug rehab or jail. Like jail, isn't drug rehab just exposing you to more unsavory characters?The only reason he was sent to rehab was because he was drug tested and they found weed in his system. I know some doctors lawyers who smoke pot often.

I am 26 years old not even married a year and my husband was sent to a drug rehab center a month and a half ago for smoking pot when he was on probation for a dwi 3 years ago..not once did he fail piss test but he failed many..but he only ever failed for pot but he did use crack once in a while and other drugs..so thats why he was sent to rehab for a year or jail for a year..he can only call once a week and 2 letters a week and he has to be there for a year..I am going nuts..I cry everyday missing him and i am looking for some help online..I am already going to a therapist and on many drugs I just need some support from other people since I dont have any friends..I only had him..I have tried finding meetings in my area for na and aa and cant find any..thanks all

My mom wants to put me in drug rehab, help please?
Okay people i haven't been smoking anything illegal or legal for that matter, but my mom thinks i am. she swears up and down that im doing drugs because i look like and act like a " hippie" or a " stoner" and all that crap.i am a hippie, but that's besides the point she doesn't believe that peeing in a cup and sending it to a lab will determine anything. i don't want to go to rehab so people please give any advice you can.

my child recently read the bible, and now he keeps walking around calling people " sinners" .he has slacked off on his studies, doesn't socialze anymore, has no friends, ditched his girlfriend so he can read the bible and was fired from his job for letting the bible interfere with his part time job.the only people he does socialize with are on the same kick and they get togetehr and read the bible and completely ignore the outside world. get the point here? actually sean, considering the " god delusion" is of much smaller length than the bible i would be looking for a mental hospital instead of drug rehab facility for that child. dawkins has some points but he is not the " picture child" for atheists you theists like to make him out to be.basically the scenario you pointed out is someone reading the same words, over and over and over and over again that shows psycotic obsession not addiction.good point tammy b also 12 steps are a load of bunk, the success rate for rehabilitation is the same as if you quit on your own." giving yourself over to a higher power" rhetoric should be banned or at least the program must be made to publicly admit that they are pushing religion.even if it is " neutral" religion.

Where is a mandatory drug rehab center for adults in Texas?
My brother who is now 21 years old is struggling with Alcohol and Drug abuse. He has been to many volunteer rehab centers but end up getting out He wants to change because he attempts to by going to these voluteer rehab centers but when he gets the urge he gets out. Please help

Is the "12 step" drug rehab hypocritical? ?
I have in a in law who got hooked on meth. To support his habit, he stole numerous large items from friends and family. Some of these friends, were people whom I made introductions to before he was hooked on meth. In other words, I made the introduction therefore I feel responsible for these peoples loss. He was never prosecuted, then hit rock bottom and checked into 12 step rehab program. He called me yesterday, and apparently step 8 is to make amends with people who you've harmed. My response was " make amends with the people who you stole from, then call me back" . He won't do that because it would then be an admission of guilt, and he would have to then pay for these items, and or go to jail. He said the program supports this stance. Is this true? If so, what's the point of step 8? Being able to " cherry pick" who you get to make amends with is hypocrisy at it's finest.

Does anyone know of a drug rehab center around Houston,Texas that will take someone w/o insurance or cash?
